Arctic Fire-Freeze™ (“AFF™” a/k/a/ “A double F”) is simply the most effective fire extinguishing agent available. Its unique properties include a thermal barrier that protects skin, clothing and equipment from high heat, fire and flame events. Blended by GSL under a proprietary and patent pending method AFF includes spontification agents, heat/flame reflectors and thermal/barrier/cooling agents. Upon application, the AFF product immediately extinguishes fires and cools burning surfaces to ambient temperatures --- and completely prevents fires from restarting. Recent “tire fire” tests (video available) show extinguishment of burning tires in less than ten (10) seconds, with cooling to the touch within that time. Steel Industry Start. Historically, the AFF product has been used industrially in the Steel Industry, to equip and protect vehicles moving hot molten slag. More than 400 of these vehicles have Automatic Vehicle Fire Extinguishment and Survivability Systems (“AVFESS”) which are credited with Seven (7) Operator “Life Saves.” (Data available). Kuwait Military Tests. Kellogg, Brown & Root tested the AFF AVFESS components at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait (with assistance from the Udairi Fire Department). During these tests three (3) raw eggs were wrapped in Spentex™ Spent-Carbon Fiber Cloth and doused with the AFF Liquid Agent. After a four (4) minute burn the fire was extinguished and the eggs removed, unwrapped and cracked open, revealing, amazingly, their still raw state --- proving the amazing thermal protective properties of the Spentex when combined with the AFF Solution. In another KBR test, the AFF liquid was used to extinguish a tire fire, of critical importance to KBR and the U. S. Military. The Comparison was dramatic proving that AFF was 20x more effective than AFFF. (52 gal. AFFF v. only 2.5 gal. of AFF). Results shows it took 52 gallons of AFFF1 (a competitor’s product currently used by the Military and KBR) and a highpressure hose---and---almost eight minutes to extinguish the same fire, while the AFF product was used to extinguish the same fire using only 2.5 gallons and a hand held spray extinguisher. Importantly, as shown (photo L) the AFF was able to return the burning super-heated surface of the tires to cooler than ambient temperature within seconds---a real show stunner---and valuable aspect for military use. Recent Tests proved that fire extinguishment can be achieved in as little as ten (10) seconds with AFF hand-held extinguishers. (See, Tire Fire 4/15/07 Report in package). An AFF AVFESS has recently been installed as the first system in a production (rather than a retro-fit) military vehicle. A secondary vehicle fire suppression system was used in an International ORYX Vehicle, which is currently being tested to replace Humvees. The ORYX was under review at the Army’s Aberdeen Military Proving Grounds. All ingredients of AFF are listed on the TSCA Inventory. AFF has a rating of ZERO for Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) by current industry and governmental standards. No AFF ingredients/compounds are believed to be hazardous or listed on the NIOSH Recommendations for Occupational Safety and Health Standards. Nor are any ingredients/compounds listed as hazardous by CERCLA, RCRA. No OSHA PELS are established for any AFF ingredients/compounds. A recent Report of lab testing from the Eurofins Product Safety Labs 3/30/07 Report concludes: "The product (Arctic Fire-Freeze™) meets the national standard for a non-toxic substance."
